N6296W No logs prior to 2014 but essentially everything has been done since then as you can see. New paint, interior, motor, windows, and more. Plane was bought from auction after sitting for a long time in 2014 and completely gone through over the following years. When I bought this plane it had 49 hours on the engine since overhaul and I put about 350 hours on it time building and very little independent instruction. I have made it to my first jet job and would like to get a spectacular time builder or just all around fun GA plane to someone else that needs it. All paperwork for the build from Lycon is available and supposedly with the power flow exhaust and this engine build it puts out over 180HP. If you fly it you will know that’s the truth because with cooler temps and 2 people you still still see 1200+ fpm in this plane. It’s a rocket climbing compared to most GA planes. Even in the summers I can still consistently get 800-1000 fpm. Even with that being the case it will only burn 6 GPH in cruise. Seriously fuel efficient. I regularly flew from DVT to Carlsbad and it consistently burned 21.5 gallons on that flight in the summer which came out to about 7 gph. With better performance and not climbing as high you can keep it under 7. Interior is perfectly clean I would give 8/10 Paint shines up nicely but can tell the previous owner didn’t put the most expensive paint job on it. Still 7 or 8 out of 10 when clean. Avionics are basic but work well. Tach has been replaced as the original stopped working. Single Com but these old radio’s are fantastic and I didn’t plan on replacing them until they stopped working for that reason. The range of them is amazing. VOR is off by about 20 degrees but you can throw a new one in for $500 used most of the time if you just want a working one. Altimeter works but is starting to bounce a little so that could stand to be replaced. If those 2 are done you would have nothing else to worry about. Everywhere this plane goes people are complimenting it. Even have had 2 people try and buy it at a fuel farm before I was ready to move on. This motor is super solid and low time. If you’re like me I decided to buy a plane with low hours and spend the money up front instead of a high time engine that I may run the risk of replacing and spending 35-40k with install and the plane being down for a few months.
